Spain’s rising young talent Carlos Sanchez delivers a smashing three track EP for Unike Muzik’s third release. Relying on its steady streak of top producers, Unike has seen the likes of Markus Homm, Alex Celler, and Chris Carrier providing properly executed dancefloor rippers. Now, following up his remix on the label of Homm’s What Do They Want, Carlos lures us in with three original tracks that prove again why this young talent has since been so successful.

Kicking off the release is Claim And Think, a tune that hosts Carlos’ signature mix of deep and tech house. Pumping kick and bass make Claim and Think a stomping four to the floor beat with a menacing spoken word vocal. Deeply groovy and atmospheric pads flow freely through as a soothing break gives light to its unique textures and background. It is absolutely a go-to record for opening DJs who want to get some attention to the floor.

Continuing the steady swinging percussion that is associated with Sanchez comes Let’s Make It Happen. Again another early floor filler with dreamy stabs and more old school flavored drum programming, this aggressively bouncy deep track haunts its way into a scene of melodic gratification.

Finishing up with a cosmic bang, Carlos Sanchez closes his toughening release with Keyboard is not a Crime, again promising stomping basslines and even perkier percussive grooves. Keyboard is not a Crime provides just enough attitude with an impressive execution, minimal jabs, and spaced out reverberating keys.

Already receiving the nod of approval from top artists like Guy Gerber, Joris Voorn, and Audiofly, and appearing on coveted labels like Supernature, Plastic City, and 8bit Records, this young talent’s flight is one that will last in many seasons to come. His touch on Unike’s third release is a perfect bond of an innovative label and an inspiring artist.
