In this interview we had the occasion to have a chat with Carola Pisaturo, an Italian woman who become a respectable dj and producer in the scene; she also manages his label Claque Musique, and she’s set to release a various artist compilation titled “Formes 01”.

– Thanks for joining us! How are you doing right now?
I’m doing great! So far the year has been really amazing. I’ve played some really interesting places, have released some great music on my label Claque Musique and now I’m gearing up for some special events like Sonar and Tomorroland. So a lot to look forward to.

– Looking back to the past months, what have you done up to 2017?
Aside from some really great gigs, I also hosted a couple of great label party, last one with Fred P during Milan Fashion Week. From a label perspective, Claque just recently released a V/A compilation called “Formes 01”.
It’s the first time we’ve done anything like this and the feedback has been been really humbling. I contributed two tracks to the compilation, one called “Ganzirri” and another called “b.b.”,  produced with Donato Dozzy and which we released under our Oscar alias. It’s out shortly so be sure to check it out!

– You run a label called Claque Musique. What is its ethos?
Claque Musique was born 10 years ago at a time when I was looking to really push my music out there.
I also wanted it to be a medium for other artists I believed in and those who impressed me. Having a label is a lot of effort, but it’s also a lot of fun and extremely worthwhile. Claque Musique is my identity, my home; it’s where the artists I appreciate the most are and they become family in the end. The only real ethos coursing through each release is a dedication to the underground – and vinyl, of course.

“Formes 01” will be published on your label. Can you tell us more about this project?
Formes 01 is a project we’ve been working on for some time. We wanted to release a compilation that displays the best of Claque and what the label stands for music wise. As listeners to the release can attest, there are a lot of different sounds on there, from emerging and established artists alike. We hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did putting it all together.

– How did you select the producers to release?
Being Italian, I find it very important that I work with and help other Italian producers to gain a foothold for the scene, hence my decision to work with both established producers and relative newcomers. Working alongside the likes of Donato Dozzy – a legend in electronic music – is always a privilege for me.
The other guys we picked because we’ve been following their music for some time now and knew they’d all be able to submit quality works. I’m more than happy with the end product too. Working with long-term friends such as Federico Grazzini is really fun, as is giving a platform to other names such as Analog Inside, The Museri, The Hush and Calma. Be sure to check them all out on their Soundcloud pages…each one is doing amazing work right now.

– Have you got any other forthcoming projects you could tell us about?
We will be releasing more EPs on Claque soon, as well as a host of summer dates that I’m really excited about. We’ll reveal more about them soon…

– Thank you for having spent the time to let our readers know more about your music and thoughts!
Grazie and thanks for having me!
