Better known as being one half of Dublin based outfit Slowburn – whose back catalogue includes appearances on the likes of Uzuri and Lunar Disko – Dave Hargadon released his debut solo material in 2014 on Italian label Land of Dance Records with the double EP ‘Finding Purpose’. As well as making music Dave has been involved in running parties and DJing around the country for well over a decade. From Acii Disco to the more recent Gary’s Gang parties, Dave has helped make a great contribution to the clubbing scene in Dublin and has shared the stage with some of the finest international acts such as Levon Vincent, XDB, Juju & Jordash, Andy Stott, DJ Deep and Lerosa to name a few.
Last year saw the creation of his imprint Lime Street music which will be an output for the type of sounds you could expect to hear in any of his sets, which could range anywhere from the slower boogie-style jams to classic US house, all with a hint of acid. Next up is the acid-laced Chicago/NYC house grooves of the Windmill Lane EP on fellow Dubliner Costelloe’s Signal Code Records. The EP follows on the heels of two highly regarded releases from the label, with Creme Organisation associate Romansoff’s Forbidden Land EP earlier this year and Nick Simoncino’s label debut (featuring a DJ Sotofett remix) in 2015.
