Hi Federico, welcome to the 5 shoot interview for differentgrooves.com !
1. What can you say about your past and present influences?
I always had diverse musical influences, every kind of music from jazz music to ambient, from hard rock to Bossanova and from electronic music to Tango. If I have to mention some artists, I would say people like Victor Wooten, Nick Bärtsch, Astor Piazzolla, Jon Hassell, Tangerin Dream, Juana Molina etc .. but cinema and theater are big influences for me too. Now I am listening to a lot of “modern Jazz” from the 70´s and 80´s, which is still contemporary to my ears.

2. How would you describe your style and sound?
mmm I think that it is not easy to describe it because its a mix from many different styles, I would say its a  kind of deep and reduced house and very loopy; but also changes the whole time. It depends of the period of the year and some other components. Like I said this is a very hard question to answer.

3. Some years ago you founded Oslo with Nekes, what can you say about the results you reached?
The results we achieved are very diverse and positive at the same time. We developed our own sound (which its not easy nowadays); we started from Cero with totally unknown artists, without known remixes or things like that and we built up a very important group of friends and artists for this project. Right now some things are changing, our sound is changing (or making progress) some of the classic artits took their own way and some new artists are coming to the project; the EPs which are coming out this year are very good in my opinion. We will see how the people react.

4. “Painful” and “Git Atte” seem pointing to a different musical direction, do you agree?
I am not sure if I would call it a “different musical direction.” I think its the evolution or progress of my sound. I think that every artist should make a progress or evolution over the years; otherwise you get stuck with your work. And I think the Painful EP is the evolution of my sound, which is related to my old material but much more mature, and personally I like it better compared to the things I made in the past.

5. Is anything new forthcoming in the next months that you want to tell us about?
Oh, very nice question… after the Painful EP is coming one EP from a new artist on the label, his name is Federico Lijtmaer, he comes from Uruguay, and personally his EP is one of the best 3 Oslo ever! I am very happy with this further releases.

Thank you for having spent the time to let our readers know more about your music and thoughts!
