Half Baked is proud to announce the launch of his Vinyl Only imprint, celebrating its love and commitment to underground house and techno music. The first release rounds up most of the core of the Half Baked Agency residents; it’s a French affair with Le Loup, Seuil, Yakine and Robin Ordell.

The A1 cut comes from Hold Youth wonder boy Le Loup, delivering an uplifting yet deep modern house cut. “Light Beam” sports a delayed metallic drum that bounces through the track while dreamy pads, bells, swingy hats and a soothing voice transport you in a faraway land. The second track comes from the rising talent Robin Ordell, freshly signed on Eklo records and already with appearances on labels such as Leftroom or Serialism. He completes the Ep with a raw piece of music where trippy pads and jazzy shakers seamlessly guide to you the breakdown, where melancholic jazz piano chords fall down and make you drift away till the finish line.

On the flip side we find the other half of Hold Youth and head honcho of the Eklo label: Seuil. His track, “Teopartü”, is a slightly darker affair: its groove instantly locks you in with his monster bass, while a string slowly rises in the back announcing the next level of hypnosis, where cymbals resonate and trippy pads surround you commanding to surrender. Rounding up the Ep is a stripped down deep house groover by Parisian house connaisseur Yakine, already part of respected labels like Spectral or Rue de Plaisance. His cut, “Bubazul”, is a djs’ best friend that will undoubtly cause some stir on the dancefloors with its unstoppable rolling groove reminding us of the early Mountain People releases.
