This December sees Berlin DJ & producer Marc Miroir release ‘Comfort Zone / Intakt’, the second single to be taken from the upcoming Identity Kit LP on Paso Music.
Releasing music since 2000, Berlin artist Marc Miroir has become a staple of the underground techno circuit with appearances on aras, Enough! and Bondage, not to mention the launch of his own label, Paso Music, which has seen some quality releases over the years like David Mayer’s ‘Fortune’, Distale’s ‘Freee’ and Marc Miroir’s own ‘Kraft’. Now, carrying on the label’s reputation for quality in convincing style is ‘Comfort Zone / Intakt’, which marks the second single release to be taken from the Identity Kit album.
First up is ‘Intakt’, which introduces a classic 90’s techno aesthetic with filtered hi hats and a pulsating low end before Unison Wax boss Diego Krause steps up to offer a re-interpretation that’s brimming with slithering synths and jittering percussion. Next, ‘Comfort Zone’ samples opera singer Adam Schilling’s vocals to create a dreamy soundscape, until La Peña and Playhouse artist Kia teams up with Members resident Handmade for a remix that offers a mechanical reimagining.
Marc Miroir’s ‘Comfort Zone / Intakt’ drops December 12th (vinyl) and February 21st (digital) on Paso Music.
