The second single from Marc Miroir’s forthcoming album is the sort of no frills dancefloor destroyer we’ve come to love and expect from the Paso Music label boss. Co-produced with Asem Shama, the title track “Eco Quest” is a driving prime time techno beast! Just when you thought things couldn’t get more massive, “Eco Quest” gets kicked up a notch with a huge remix from German techno legend Karotte, and the single is rounded out with the trippy album cut “The Train” featuring vocals from the one and only Kiki Moorse of Chicks On Speed.

Kicking things off is Karotte’s prime time rework bomb on the A side of the record, which maintains the brooding atmosphere of the original track and adds flourishes of whooshing noises, spooky barely there sounds and subtle synth bleeps as well as a storming break. Co-produced by Gregor Tresher, Karotte’s timeless remix is more of a tech house take on the original and reflects his unparalleled taste in all things 4/4 as well as his incomparable feeling for what makes the club goers move. On the flip side, Marc Miroir teams up with Chicks On Speed founder Kiki Moorse who laid down some wonderfully weird vocals on “The Train”. Weaving together fun and freaky elements, the track develops confidently into a playful and fluid exploration of sound and melody with undeniable boogie. Last but not least, the original version of “Eco Quest” with its big, muscular bassline and eerie swelling synths generates plenty of tension and suspense before breaking the ice with a surprising breakdown. With its mix of pure dancefloor action and production that dares to tread outside the box, Eco Quest is not only a must have for serious techno enthusiasts, but an enticing taste of what’s to come on Marc’s highly anticipated album debut „Hitting Home” which drops at the end of April 2012.

Marc Miroir has been reflecting and reinventing the vibrations of contemporary electronic music in his artistic output since the early nineties. Beginning with his career launching residency at Airport in his native Würzburg which continues since 1995, to legendary venues like Frankfurt’s Dorian Gray; to the big rooms in Space Ibiza and Cocoon Club, to premier festivals like Nature One and SonneMondSterne, Marc’s been there – presenting his own brand of hypnotic, grooving, often eccentric, and always one-of-a-kind vinyl only DJ sets. His well known club hits on labels LevelNonZero, PV-Records and of course his own label Paso Music which he co-runs with Sebrok and Jo Spallek have earned him a permanent place among techno’s most passionate and talented advocates, and the best is yet to come!
