Stephan Bodzin and Marc Romboy mark the 100th release for Systematic Recordings by rekindling their musical love affair and joining forces once again on the mighty double-header Kerberos / Styx.
2005 saw the great friends’ first studio collaboration, Luna / Miranda. Since then we have enjoyed no less than seventeen musical masterpieces. With the exception of just the one release – 2007’s The Alchemist on 20:20 Visions – all have featured on either Romboy’s Systematic or Bodzin’s Herzblut Recordings. That makes eight years of hits, which have included Phobos, Atlas, Puck, Callisto, Triton and Drei Monde.
After a break of four years Marc and Stephan have returned to the studio, and by pure coincidence have timed their creations perfectly for the label’s landmark release. Two new and epic productions; super synth melodies and regal keys are abound on Kerberos, whilst on Styx the rampaging and cascading keys build in intensity before falling away amongst soothing waves and pulsing beats.
Also as added treat the duo give us their now trademark ‘Synthappella’ versions of both tracks. Perfect opening or closing set numbers.
