AMA Recordings boss Ray Okpara is always on the hunt for the finest house and techno to release on his record label. It’s unsurprising then that the scintillating ‘No Sleep’ EP from German producer and Leipzig promoter Marco Marset caught his attention – put simply, it’s a release that contains three deep dancefloor bombs.

Ray says: “Marco Marset’s music always got my attention. We worked together before on some other releases, so after he sent me these I knew we had our next project together. He’s such a great producer, and my boy Marko Nastić never disappoints with his crazy modular sound that fits between techno and house. I’m a big fan of both here.” Things kick off with title track ‘No Sleep’, where Marset delivers a bonafide banger that’s guaranteed to make you sit up and take notice. With previous releases on Sleep Is Commercial, ESIW, Esoulate and his own Avida Music, it’s clear that Marco knows how to forge hypnotic house and techno sounds for the dancefloor that leave you wanting more.

Second track ‘Lover’ takes things up a notch, with a heightened focus on acoustic drums for a more tribal feel. Processed, sensual vocals add another dimension to the track. Third and final offering ‘Babeee’ is infused with beefy drums and a fat bassline that closes out the EP in fine style. Remixing the title track is Serbian talent Marko Nastić, who’s no stranger to Ray’s AMA Recordings having put out his acclaimed ‘Solar Apex’ EP on the label as recently as September 2016. With that in mind, it made total sense for Nastić to return and make his mark on ‘No Sleep’, and that he certainly did. As far as remixes go, Marko outdoes himself with an epic version that’s over 12 disorientating minutes long.

As the title suggests, the ‘No Sleep’ EP is going to go down very well with those who regularly find themselves awake in clubs in the early hours of the morning. Do not sleep on this release!
