“Edera” EP is ready to throw well-deserved light on the young-gun firing power of Paco Marcelo under the Loose Records roof. Since showing up on flyers from the age of 16, Marcelo has been honing his skills ever since with the mentoring of artists like Luigi Madonna and Matteo Orlandi. Spinning acid, ambient, and hard-hitting drum flavors on both analog and digital grooves, “Edera” isn’t the first, nor will it be the last, of a blossoming talent finding higher highs to show the world what he can do.
“Edera” – Ping-ponging effects set up a masterful beat beneath some truly enormous washes of deep house influences, which prepares the way for a fantastic blend of high-energy twists and surprising turns. Claps, playful synths, and drastic dives keep things interesting in the hands of an artist who knows how to keep listeners on their toes.
“Bamba” – Deceptively simple, the escalation after an eerie intro fires into corners of electronica that lend plenty of upbeat rhythms for this ride. As catchy as it is inventive, the danceability factor rides high through the end here, making this track a great instigator for kicking things up more than a few notches in any set.
“Legato” – As fiercely powerful as any predator out for blood, this track starts at a sprint and only adds to its insistence on kicking ass as it continues to charge ahead. Mechanical effects might give the impression of a spaceship hurtling into a crash, but listeners are only going to ride high on this brake-less rocket to the top.
