Hi Sahar, welcome to the “5 Shoot” interview for differentgrooves.com!
1. Briefly, what can you tell us about your musical background and your first approaches to electronic music?
I grew up listening to artists like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Giorgio Moroder, Art Of Noise, New Order, Depeche Mode and more. My first approaches to the electronic sound was through a Cerrone track called “Supernature“, it was the first analogue synth arpeggiator I’d ever heard and I was hypnotized by it!
2. When was the first time you got in touch with Guy Mantzur? Can you tell us about the start of your relationship?
I’ve known Guy for more than 15 years I heard about his music a lot, he was making trip hop and chill out music and I got one of his albums. Guy also used to come to the raves in Tel Aviv and hear me DJ. Then about 7 years ago we started to hang out and share our vision of music, a subject that immediately led us to the studio to make music together.
3. After how much time did you decide to produce an album together?
In the beginning we were supposed to make a mini-LP for Guy J’s label as part of the “Found” series, but after we’d finished the second track we decided the chemistry was right to produce a full-length album. Getting this freedom from Guy J, who is an artist we really respect and love, was so important for us. He also knew that we truly understand his vision for the label’s sound, and all of this formed a perfect base for creating this album.
4. What are the main strength points and difficulties you noticed during the creative process of “Time”?
Actually, all of the process of creating “Time” was very peaceful and enjoyable! When you hear he album, I think you can sense this?

5. Is anything new forthcoming in the next months that you want to tell us about?
Yes, we have album tour dates starting to come our way and we have decided that we want to give the audience and ourselves something that is more than just a DJ set, so we will make it kind of live with DJ elements. We have synths, iPad, EFX and more. It’s our first time performing this way and we are really excited to see how it will work out. Then I have some upcoming collaborations and some solo projects, so keep your eyes and ears open and be ready
Thank you for having spent the time to let our readers know more about your music and thoughts!
