Barcelona-based tech whiz kids, Denis Peramos andAlex Molina aka The Deals, provide a perfect club ready EP for BlueCube’s eigth release. Newcomers to the production scene, the two share a common love for all things, from thunderous techno to smoother deep house. Eventually this common obsession over a wide extent of electronic sounds allowed them to perform eclectic sets in some of Barcelona’s best clubs. Now taking the plunge into their newly formed artist moniker, their work on Black Mode is a sure sign of career successes and club rocking thrills. With remix help by Colombia’s DJ Fronter and Spainish rising star Nuria Ghia, as well as a collaborative effort with Matt Akita, the entire EP screams an attitude of drummy tech synonomous with the Ibiza summer crowd.
The title track opens up with steadily rising energy as its slick drum work thrives on a more tribal influenced groove. What’s left at the drop is sheer tech house bliss with plenty of ride love and tweaked vocals. DJ Fronter brings a more techno driven flair to his mix with a repeating key rhythm and intellegant arrange that creates suspense at the perfect moments. Another up and coming artist, DJ Fronter proves his dedication to the techno craft with this mix as well as already receiveing support from big names like Richie Hawtin and UMEKwith past releases.
Sauces was born of a collaborative project with The Deals and Matt Akita, leaving nothing to be desired, its a perfect peak time banger with plenty of energy. Another big track on the release, its sure to be found in record bags all over the globe this summer season. Lastly delivering a more subtle tech house mix, Nuria Ghia’s grooving rendition of Sauces works as a warm up tune but at the right moment can ignite the dancefloor. As BlueCube dominates a more tech influenced flair to their catalog it seems as the imprint’s strategy is paying off. Enabling up and comers as well as established names to showcase their talents and be played by some of the biggest names in the business, the label brings serious floor fillers for serious Djs.
