Time Warp Netherlands back for sixth time!
On Saturday 7th December the Dutch edition of Time Warp opened its doors for the sixth time running. As in the previous year, the festival took place at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht and attracted almost 16.000 visitors from all over Europe and beyond – all of whom did not want to miss out on one of the last opportunities to celebrate before the end of the year.
After having been held in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and s’Hertogenbosch in previous years, Time Warp Netherlands opened its doors for the second time in a row at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, consequently being the sixth Dutch edition of the long established techno-festival, which initially originated in Mannheim, Germany. Once again the internationality of the festival’s audience was striking. In addition to a large number of Dutch fans, the event was able to attract visitors from Germany, Belgium, Italy, France, England and various other European and Non-European countries amounting to a total of almost 16.000 people.
The number “six” determined the motto of this year’s Time Warp Netherlands. For the first time in the festival’s history the number of stages was increased from five to six. Correspondingly the number of artists was also increased. Over 30 international DJs and live acts thrilled and excited the fans. In consequence the festival’s host also came to a positive verdict. Robin Ebinger, head of marketing, stated that this edition of Time Warp Netherlands had once again reinforced the decision to establish Time Warp outside of Germany.
With regard to the good teamwork, he expressed gratitude to his team, the festival’s supporters and all other persons involved, especially those among the municipality of Utrecht as well as the Jaarbeurs. In spite of the great success, the organiser’s workload is far from decreasing. The next major event is just around the corner. Next year, Time Warp will celebrate its twentieth anniversary
on 5th April at the Maimarkthalle in Mannheim. Limited Early Bird Tickets presale starts this on 12th of December. More details will be released shortly.
