La La Land
The Warehouse, Leeds
12th July, 11pm – 6am

Miguel Campbell, Cera Alba, O.C & Verde

A brand new and exciting night is coming to Leeds… La La Land, taking its name from one of the most classic dance tracks of all time, is set to shake things up by offering on point and underground bookings in a weird, wonderful and intimate environment. Their chosen home is storied and world famous Leeds venue The Warehouse, with its cauldron like dance floor, cosier second room and killer Funktion One sound system.

Opening up this exciting new night are local lads done good Miguel Campbell and Cera Alba, plus residents O.C & Verde. The date for your diary is July 12th. Brainchild of dance fanatic RUNIC, La La Land takes it cues from the likes of the Elrow and Love Life events where it’s all about the party. It will be a crazy and colourful party where anything goes and where you can dance like no one is watching, just as it should be, so let’s go La La!

And so to the headliners for the opening party… Miguel Campbell is part of the new school of house heroes, with his music joining the dots between disco, deep house, 80s pop and retro creamy stylings.  What’s more, Campbell’s Outcross Records has long been a bastion of quality house music in Leeds.  Since 2010 Miguel himself has been associated with Hot Creations, for whom he released a fantastic album in Back in Flight School, which showcased his ability to magic up inventive melodies, dance floor filling baselines and plenty of human charm and emotion. His DJ sets manage to strike you in similar ways and take him from WMC to all across Europe, Mexico and of course Ibiza.

Fellow Leeds lad Cera Alba is a Hot Creations man, and has played with the label all over the world in Ibiza, Miami and more, as well as turning in his own creamy bassline driven house. He has become a staple of the Hot Creations world and for good reason, but has also been tapped up for releases by the influential ViVA and Gruuv labels, so this homecoming – right on the back of him releasing his latest and greatest EP – is sure to be something special.

Last but not least, residents O.C & Verde are 2014 ones to watch with tracks supported by Damian Lazarus, Horse Meat Disco and Seth Troxler. They bring freshness to their house music offerings that are sure to get you, and keep you dancing, all night long.

Fret not if you are coming direct from Cocoon in the Park, you will be allowed in with wellies! What’s more, La La Land will be hosting regular events in Leeds throughout the rest of the year so make sure you join them at the launch to get a feel for what’s in store for the rest of the year…
