The Checkup returns to Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records to deliver his ‘Hard Reset’ EP this August.
Belgian DJ and producer The Checkup has emerged as a prolific house talent since making his debut back in 2014, releasing material via a host of leading and blossoming imprints including AVOTRE, META, Simma Black and his very own Heat Up Music imprint. Having originally made his debut on Madhouse back in 2016, mid-August marks a welcome return as he delivers his three-track EP, ‘Hard Reset’.
The mesmerising ‘I Got To’ opens the EP with a combination of rising percussion, slick snares and captivating Hip- Hop styled vocals, before ‘I’m Burning’ deploys sensual chords and light piano flourishes amongst slick drum licks to unveil a well-executed dancefloor gem. To Close, ‘A Rhodes’ showcases a stripped back feel-good house affair, powered by shimmering effects, subtle keys and atmospheric synths, punctuating yet another quality addition for to the Madhouse Records catalogue.
