Some nights remind you exactly why Ibiza still sets the standard. Music On at Pacha Ibiza on July 17th was one of them.
With the island in full swing, Pacha was packed from the moment the doors opened. The atmosphere was electric, but what stood out most was the dancefloor. The crowd was there for one reason, the music.
Idriss D opened the night with a perfectly judged warm-up. Patient, rolling and full of groove, his set gave the room space to build naturally before raising the intensity. It was a reminder that a great opening set is about creating momentum, not chasing peak-time moments.
Vintage Culture and Hot Since 82 followed with two exceptional performances. Both brought their own sound while staying true to the Music On identity. Deep, driving house with hypnotic rhythms, tight percussion and plenty of tension. Their selections kept the room locked in from start to finish, each delivering a set that would have been the highlight on most line-ups.
Then came Marco Carola.
Watching Carola play is a lesson in restraint, control and flow. Every transition felt effortless, every record had a purpose and every hour built on the last. Rather than relying on obvious moments, he let the groove do the work. It was hypnotic, relentless and completely absorbing. A masterclass from one of the finest selectors in the game.
Pacha remains the perfect home for Music On. Few clubs combine history, intimacy and production quite like it. The sound system was flawless, giving every kick, groove and vocal space to breathe, while the iconic room kept the energy centred on the dancefloor.
Standing in the middle of that crowd, surrounded by the music and thousands moving together, was one of those moments that reminds you why Ibiza continues to lead the world.
Music On has never been about hype. It’s about quality music, world-class DJs and a dancefloor that never lets up. On a packed July night at Pacha, it delivered exactly that.
