French-Brazilian Artist Ella Romand Brings Classical Training & Live Instrumentation To Her Remix Of Husa & Zeyada’s ‘More Love’

French-Brazilian producer, pianist and live electronic artist Ella Romand brings her classically trained background, Brazilian heritage and international experience to a career spanning electronic production, live performance and composition.

Based in Miami, Ella Romand has developed a sound that brings together Brazilian musical influences with Deep, Organic, Afro and Melodic House, while her live performances incorporate keys and synthesisers into her captivating performances. Ella’s work spans music production, composition, and live performance, rooted in classical piano training and more than a decade working across different areas of the music industry.

Ella now continues this progression with a new remix of Husa & Zeyada’s ‘More Love’. Reworking the original slow-tempo indie electronic track, she introduces a more upbeat interpretation shaped by melodic textures, organic rhythms and her characteristic approach to live instrumentation and electronic production.

“When I first heard ‘More Love’, I immediately connected with the track and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it to bring it into a more club vibe. I added a groovy bassline using the Moog Subsequent 37 and housey piano chords to keep the energy moving, while building on the original track and catchy vocals. I wanted the remix to feel uplifting and danceable, while still maintaining the original hypnotic indie dance character.”

Beginning her journey into music at the early age of five, learning to play the first notes on the piano by ear in southern Brazil, Ella developed a strong musical foundation through classical training alongside an early appreciation of Brazilian and Pop music. Discovering electronic music from an early age, including Sasha’s ‘Involver’, her interest developed further after moving to Curitiba at 16, where she was introduced to the city’s club scene.

This eventually led her to study music production in Brazil before relocating to San Diego to pursue a degree in Music. She later continued her studies at Florida International University in Miami, specialising in Music Technology and further developing her knowledge of recording and production. Her early breakthrough came through Miami’s local electronic music scene, including winning Electric Pickle’s mix competition, before going on to secure a residency at Do Not Sit On The Furniture and further developing her own sound and live performance approach. Since then, Ella’s career has taken her from the studio to some of the world’s leading electronic music events and venues. Ella has performed at Ultra Music Festival, SXM Festival, Lightning In A Bottle, Cityfox Live, III Points and Burning Man, as well as venues including Brooklyn Mirage and Superior Ingredients in New York, Vagalume in Tulum, The Great Northern in San Francisco and Cova Santa in Ibiza.

Live performance has remained central to Ella’s identity as an artist. She first brought keys and electronic instrumentation into her DJ sets through her work with electronic trio Dsided in 2015 before developing her own solo project. This musical versatility also led to a collaboration with the acclaimed New World Symphony, where she co-produced, composed and performed alongside more than 80 musicians in a project bringing classical and electronic music together.

In parallel to her own productions and performances, Ella has shared line ups with artists including Nora En Pure, Bob Moses, Sébastien Léger, Lee Burridge, Francis Mercier, Rodriguez Jr., Eli & Fur, Nick Warren, Damian Lazarus and WhoMadeWho. Her growing catalogue of releases have appeared on labels including Manual Music, Go Deeva, Minds Alike, Redolent, Husa Sounds and others, while her radio platform Ellaments has introduced emerging artists working across Deep, Organic, Afro and Melodic House to an audience of more than 500,000 plays.

Ellaments has now developed beyond a radio show into a wider platform for music, live performance and immersive experiences. Originally emerging during the pandemic livestream period, the project has evolved through events combining electronic music with live musicians, visual artists, painters and local vendors, while bringing together a diverse community of creatives. Through Ellaments, Ella also supports emerging artists, events and initiatives focused on sustainability, reflecting her wider interest in creating spaces and experiences that connect music with the wider creative community.

With Ella’s remix of Husa & Zeyada’s ‘More Love’ marking the next chapter in her progression as a producer and live electronic artist, the release brings together the melodic, organic and rhythmic elements that continue to shape her sound.
