ADE Concludes 30th Edition And Sets Return For 2027

Amsterdam Dance Event successfully closed its 30th anniversary celebration and confirmed its role as a crucial networking platform for the electronic music industry. Following a jam-packed 5 days of live performances, meetings and multidisciplinary projects, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has announced that the next edition will take place from 20 to 24 October 2027.

ADE was founded in 1996 and has grown to become a global platform for electronic music professionals, artists, cultural organisations and fans. With over 300 locations across the city in 2026, the festival offered a wide variety of ADE activities. Well-known locations like Gashouder, Paradiso, Melkweg, Ziggo Dome, Club RAUM, Shelter and Bajes were complemented by cultural locations such as ARTIS Aquarium, Wereldmuseum, Centrale Markthal and Fabrique des Lumières. With an opening weekend packed with multidisciplinary projects, ADE proved it is always eager to go big. Highlights include Swan Lake Remixed for ADE, which sold out and brought together the Dutch National Ballet and ISH Dance Collective at Gashouder, Kybba with Metropole Orkest at Melkweg and Boris Acket’s EINDER with Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest at Centrale Markthal. Other highlights include Elias Mazian, Djrum and choreographer Kianí Del Valle. Jean-Michel Jarre was official Guest of Honour, with discussions around the impact of AI and spatial sounds at Felix Meritis followed by a performance at AFAS Live.

ADE Lab at Westergas focused on developing future talent with new initiatives: ADE Lab Discovery (free entry level), and ADE Lab On Track (academy). ADE has also expanded its research into the social value of nightlife with new collaboration with VibeLab. Together they have created the first-ever Nighttime Culture Index based on over 12,000 event line-ups, 3,000 locations and almost 30,000 cultural events.
