AVAION dropped from festivals amid serious misconduct allegations

German artist AVAION has been removed from several major European festival lineups following abuse allegations made by a former partner. Events including Electric Love in Austria and Open Air Gampel in Switzerland have confirmed his withdrawal from their 2026 programmes.

The decisions came shortly after a detailed statement surfaced online, in which his ex-partner accused him of sustained abuse during a relationship said to have lasted several years. The claims include allegations of physical harm, coercion and emotional manipulation, alongside references to documented material intended as evidence.

Festival organisers moved quickly. Electric Love reportedly pulled AVAION from its lineup within a day of the allegations becoming public, with Open Air Gampel taking similar action soon after. The swift response reflects a broader trend across the live music sector, where promoters are increasingly acting decisively in the face of serious claims.

His booking agency, District Live, has also halted all scheduled performances, effectively cancelling his upcoming tour while the situation unfolds. At the time of writing, AVAION has not publicly addressed the specific allegations in detail. However, he has suggested via social media that legal action may follow. Some of his online profiles have since been taken down.

The situation feeds into a wider shift within electronic music, where accountability and artist conduct are under increasing scrutiny. In recent years, multiple acts across the scene have been removed from lineups amid similar allegations, prompting ongoing discussion around industry responsibility and response protocols.

With the case still developing, further updates are expected as more information emerges and any legal proceedings take shape.
