Charlotte de Witte crowned the World’s No. 1 Techno DJ for the 7th consecutive year by DJ Mag as she reaches a new overall position of No. 6 in the Top 100 DJs
Charlotte de Witte is celebrating another victory as she continues to reign supreme in the field of techno music. The DJ has been voted World’s No. 1 Techno DJ for the seventh consecutive year by DJ Mag. Moreover, she climbed three positions to reach a new overall position of No. 6 in the Top 100 DJs poll. The results were revealed at the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs event in [unvrs] Ibiza last night, hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story, with a special performance by Charlotte herself. The DJ has held on to the top spot in the Techno category this year in the 33rd edition of the awards, which take place in the heart of the legendary Balearic island of Ibiza with a worldwide vote from thousands of electronic music fans.
Speaking about winning the Best Techno Act at the DJ Mag Awards, Charlotte expressed her feelings.
“Got voted Best Techno Act at the DJ Mag Awards! This is my 7th year in a row winning this award and I’m still as thrilled as when I first won!”
Charlotte then thanked all the voters for giving her this honor once again, believing that the achievement captures a unique connection between people who share the same passion for music and nightlife.

Her latest achievement in the latest DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll further cements her status as a techno icon and ambassador of the global techno scene and its vibrant club culture. Meanwhile, Charlotte de Witte is preparing to expand her profile beyond music as the Dutch designer apparel brand G-STAR has announced a multi-year partnership with the DJ.
She is set to become the Global Brand Ambassador for the iconic denim label which has launched a women’s collection campaign titled ‘Own the Arc’. As the face of the G-STAR campaign, Charlotte will be seen around the world while continuing to promote the reboot of the legendary Arc Jean.
G-STAR Chief Brand Officer Gwenda van Vliet described Charlotte’s approach on stage and in her music as inspiring, noting that she embodies determination, independence and a creative spirit.
Flanders Expo, with a capacity of 23,000, will host Charlotte de Witte for two consecutive nights in Ghent for the first time. The first part of the evening on Friday 5th February will see the opening of “KONNECTED” with a B2B and solo DJ set by Charlotte de Witte, Nico Moreno, NOVAH and Theo Nasa. Charlotte will then headline on Saturday 6th February with a B2B set with KI/KI.
