HUGEL Sets The Tone For Thursdays At Hï Ibiza With ‘Make The Girls Dance’

Thursday nights at Hï Ibiza are fast becoming a weekly must-do on the island’s calendar, and last week’s edition of HUGEL’s Make The Girls Dance proved just why. Another huge crowd was welcomed to the Playa d’en Bossa superclub on June 11th for a night of talent, infectious energy and a soundtrack that gave the dancefloor barely a moment to breathe.

There was a distinct sound around the place from the get-go. Groups were already spilling out into the Theatre and Club Room ahead of the peak time, as anticipation built for one of the week’s strongest line ups at Hï Ibiza. Some Ibiza nights take a while to get going, but Make The Girls Dance felt switched on almost straight away.

Bontan kicked off the Theatre with a groove-led house selection that created a smooth, early-evening flow in the room. Next up was Grossomoddo, which had a more driving, darker feel, slowly building intensity without rushing the pace. The pace felt deliberate, letting the crowd ease into the rhythm of the night rather than throwing them straight into peak-time madness.

When HUGEL came the room was on another level altogether. The French DJ gave the fans what they came for – high-energy, percussion-heavy house music with Latin influences and big, crowd-driven moments. The reaction of the crowd told the story. Every major descent was met with outstretched hands and big cheers, and the crowd was never up and down, but kept a lively buzz the whole time. It didn’t feel like people were watching a DJ, it felt like everyone was in on the experience.

The Club Room, on the other hand, offered a very different dynamic. Miss Monique delivered her signature melodic sound, blending emotion and energy, while Agents Of Time and Henri Bergmann kept it deep, hypnotic and immersive. It became the perfect alternative for those wanting something slightly more underground, but not losing the sense of occasion happening across the venue.

The most striking thing about the night was its pace. There was a real sense of progression from warm-up to peak time and each artist contributed to the overall flow rather than competed for attention. Make The Girls Dance once again showed itself as one of Ibiza’s strongest Thursday offerings this summer, especially when combined with a lively, engaged crowd and Hï Ibiza’s world-class production.
