Rhauder and Paul St. Hilaire are two artists already known for their long collaboration and appearances on Ornaments: one of their most popular track is ‘No News’ (2009) that was followed by an acclaimed remix of Marko Furstenberg. After a few other releases and ‘Reconnection’ EP (2016) they get released again on Ornaments label: ‘Assemblage’ is a three vinyl record album that rediscovers the successful tracks they made in the past, alongside revisited and alternative versions.
With this publication Ornaments highlights its roots and the importance of developing dub techno oriented sounds, giving also more importance to the “timeless” aspect of music production, a factor which is constantly getting lost from year to year. We can say that this album features tradition and innovation at the same time, in a homogeneous way and coherent to the underground nature of Ornaments. ‘Assemblage’ is available right now in most of the vinyl e-shops and of course in the official label’s Bandcamp.
