AVA Belfast 2022
3 + 4 June 2022 – Titanic Slipways
AVA’s infamous Boiler Room stage has always been a key part of the AVA programme. There’s been some monumental moments streamed live and direct from Belfast over the past 6 years, with over 20M views worldwide – Space Dimension Controller’s trance classics which had the crowd going wild, local legend Phil Keiran crowd surfing, and legendary sets from BICEP, KINK, Sally C, Midland, Denis Sulta and more. For 2022, Boiler Room will take over the Nomadic Stage, one of the highlight arenas from last year.
AVA are proud to announce the next installment of their collaboration with Boiler Room, featuring a solid selection of talent from the festival bill. A usual blend of Irish talent and international heavyweights will step up for the 7th AVA X BR broadcast. On the Friday, Robert Hood and Lyric Hood play under the Floorplan alias, bringing soulful house and techno vibes to the BR stage, plus rising electronic duo Prospa, and vocalist / producer Bklava, known for her high energy garage influenced creations. Representing the Irish talent is Gash Collective member ELLLL, alongside DART and Matheson.
Saturday’s line up is packed with what promises to be 100% charged energy. Turbo speed, acid tinged techno comes from superstar VTSS, one of techno’s most revered names right now, plus there’s emotional club bangers from TSHA, and left-leaning acid explorations from Skin On Skin. Rising star Mark Blair steps up to rep Irish talent, alongside Shampain and Brién – two names to keep an eye out who make their Boiler Room and AVA debuts this June.
Across the weekend, AVA Festival will once again invite a selection of internationally revered talent and local legends to play including Jon Hopkins, Mura Masa, BICEP, BIIG PIIG, I Hate Models, Sherelle, Overmono, Logic1000, Giant Swan, Holly Lester, ELLLL and more all set to join across the weekend. AVA’s new Titanic Slipways site will host an all new Main Stage and the return of the Nomadic, Grasses & Baltic stages – as well as immersive installations, chill out zones, secret stages and more. See the new site video for a vision of how AVA 2022 will look.
AVA Festival has long been known as a celebration of Belfast’s rapidly evolving creative movement and has given Irish artists a global stage. More tickets and information can be found at www.avafestival.com
